What a cheek!

After a superhuman effort by a determined duo of ladies, some of the villages' chaps bravely bared (nearly) all to help raise funds for the fight against prostate cancer.
With a lot of 'encouragement' from their wives & girlfriends, the guys heroically donned their 'birthday suits' to take part in the series of tableaux we came up with. Top marks to Mr August, who even endured the 'encouragement' of his mother in law!
On the week that it was announced that prostate cancer now takes more lives than breast cancer, it was a perfect time for the group to be able to present a cheque for over £3,300 to Prostate Cancer UK to help with their vital work.
Well done to Sheila & Lisa for getting the whole thing off the ground, to landlady Jo at the Leigh Arms for her amazing support & mostly to all the guys for being such good sports. It was a privilege & pleasure to help you by taking the photographs.

The Proposal .

Some days are full of wonderful surprises. A rare Saturday afternoon off allowed Andrew & I to join some friends & their cameras at the fabulous Trentham Gardens. After a couple of hours amongst the fabulous flora, fauna, ruins, sculptures & of course the cake & coffee, it was time to make our way towards the exit.
As I made a beeline for a stunning view of the ruins, I was struck by the romance of the beautiful couple strolling around, so much in love...... & trying to take selfies. As I considered taking a sneeky shot, the young man hailed me for help to take a 'phone picture. The lucky chap had just proposed.....she said YES!
"We can do better than a 'phone pic, just let me find my hubby!"
So the very nervous & ecstatic Asif reenacted his proposal to his beautiful Marium. She said yes again!
I never got the shot of the ruins, but seeing them so happy certainly made our day. Snif, Snif!

A day of arduous research! (Well, maybe not exactly that arduous.)

Well, what better way to spend a typical Bank holiday Monday.  Preparation being the key, we spent a lovely day checking wedding venues we have not previously photographed weddings at, ready for two of next months' weddings.
The tour took us to 2 fabulous churches, 2  completely different reception venues, covering 3 counties!
The churches of Norbury, Shropshire & Gawsworth, Cheshire are both in absolutely stunning settings, each with traditional lych gates and beautiful ponds. Their welcoming uplifting interiors will ensure wonderful memories for everyone.
Stepping over the border into N. Wales to check the hospitality the 21st century offers at the Holt Lodge, we felt compelled to test the lunch. Yummmmm.
Struggling off our lunch seats, headed back over the border & traversed Cheshire to the ancient timbered barn at the Plough, nr Congleton. Just to keep things fair, further taste testing was necessary.
We can confirm that both establishments came up trumps on the food front. Essential research (honest!), all part of the service! Diet starts again tomorrow......

Personal Portraits - capturing the many aspects of one person.

Shooting portraits with Andy Boyle Photography takes things to another level.

Spending a little time with you before you get in front of the camera allows us to learn  about you. This, together with input from the your own styling, means we can capture so much of  'you' and make the session an enjoyable experience with the bonus of great photos at the end.

Come along & have some fun!

Variety is the spice of life!

What a crazy weekend! More fun than you can shake a stick at... First a lively trio in with Mum & Dad for family portraits, our toys were definitely popular & big sister had some very creative ideas for their poses .
Then spent the afternoon with 2 dozen little ones having enormous, boisterous fun at a birthday party, so disappointing when we can't go on the bouncy castle & ride on toys. Apparently we're too old..HAH!
Sunday, in complete contrast gave us the opportunity to meet lots of excited & occasionally daunted couples planning their weddings at Wychwood Park wedding fayre. What a pleasure it is to chat with so many couples & their families to help them make their dreams a reality.
Finally back to edit lots of photos & fall into bed!

We certainly get to photograph a fascinating variety of weddings. This recent celebration for Beth & Matt, was  truly 'boho'. The ceremony was in the famous Booths bookshop, Hay on Wye, followed by fun & dancing to 3 local bands in the historic stableyard of their pony trekking business. Friends & family had set up a wonderful ecclectic mix of seating & food service, including 2 huge custom built(by a talented friend) crystal chandeliers, made on the spot wood fired pizza, BBQ & a wonderful cake by the groom's mother decorated with chocolate horses....in stables!
Relaxed, fun & fabulous, even if the meticulously planned shot of the bride & groom with their 2 favourite, freshly scrubbed horses didn't quite happen. The horses decided the brides wild flower bouquet was a delicious treat! Oh, well!
